How to show up to open play

Most Sunshine Coast venues run open play sessions where you just turn up, pay a small court fee, and get matched with other players. You don't need to be a member, and most venues will lend you a paddle for your first session. Show up 10 minutes early, say you're a beginner, and the regulars will sort you out.

What to bring
Court shoes (non-marking soles), water, and $10–$20 cash or card for the session fee. A paddle will be lent to you if you don't have one yet. Most sessions run 90 minutes — you'll likely play 4–6 games in that time as players rotate on and off courts.
